REAL COUPLES, REAL REVIEWS
We ask each HGW couple after the wedding, the same three questions as they reflect back on their wedding day, see their responses below!
1. What is your biggest piece of advice to a newly engaged couple starting the wedding planning process?
2. What is your biggest wedding regret(if any)? The more niche, the better!
3. What was the best investment and the worst investment on your wedding day? The more niche, the better!

1. First off, I would have to say congrats! This stage in your life truly does go so quickly, so rather than spending that time stressed or fighting about small details- try to take a breath and soak up every moment! Your wedding should be a reflection of the two of you as a couple and the people that matter the most will be there no matter what! Although things like location, or the guest list or seating charts can be a bit tough- don’t forget it is ultimately about you two and no one else. You will never be able to make every single person happy- but as long as you two are happy at the end of the day that is all that matters!
2. I honestly didn’t have any regrets about my wedding whatsoever. The only thing I would go back and change if possible is to remember to eat and drink water the day before and the day of your wedding (and actually get a good night sleep the night before). I was planning on staying with my husband the night before our wedding because he helps calms my anxiety and makes sure I’m drinking water & all the important things. However, last minute I changed my mind because I let people influence me that it wasn’t very traditional to stay together the night before your wedding and let my Maid-of-honor stay with me. Although I love her so much I think we got too worked up the night before to where I ended up not eating or sleeping at all and it really hurt me on our wedding day. I didn’t feel my best & definitely regretted not going with my instincts of what was best for me. I was able to push through it and still had the best day of my entire life but I hope someone can learn from my mistake!
3. My best investment was by far getting a Wedding Planner. I am super detail oriented, love hosting events, and good at planning but I still could not have done this alone! I’ve been apart of so many weddings that did not have planners and there is an obvious difference. The bride & groom do not enjoy the engagement period at all because planning a whole wedding by yourself is so much work, and the day of does not flow as well at all. Having a planner really lets you, your partner, and your family get to sit back and enjoy the day instead of running around and making sure everything is going how it’s supposed to! As for my worst investment- that’s hard because I can’t really think of anything that I wasn’t happy with. One thing I appreciated about Anna is, if it’s not worth your money- she will let you know right away! She’s done this so many times that she knows what people care about or will remember, and if it’s not worth your time and money she will be honest with you!
